EHC Expanding with New Headquarters Campus
EHC, a construction company that provides pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services, is proud to announce development is underway on a new headquarters campus in Fort Myers, Florida. The site construction company is moving its headquarters from Naples to a new campus in Fort Myers. The six-acre campus will include the EHC corporate office, maintenance and repair facilities, equipment storage yard, water management facilities and additional property to triple the size of the operation when needed.
“After 29 years in business and 26 years in the current facility, we decided it was time to centralize and expand,” said EHC, Inc. President and Owner Jeff Hunt. “The decision was not taken lightly. Since 2016, we’ve been searching for the right location and the right opportunity for our team and clients.”
EHC began to pursue a new headquarters campus as the company was outgrowing the existing facility, particularly the maintenance and repair facilities. In addition, the site construction company needed to better accommodate in-house training and meeting facilities for human resources and other staff events. Centralization of the headquarters in Southwest Florida was also essential to EHC’s growing market from project and client locations to where staff members live.
After years of searching, EHC found an over six acre-property on the southeast corner of Canal and VanBuren Streets in Fort Myers, Florida. With plans in place, the site developer is full steam ahead on development of the campus. EHC will be providing all the sitework on the project including clearing, fill, utilities, pavement, curbs, sidewalks, fencing, storage yard, landscape and irrigation.
The main headquarters building will have 8,000 square feet of office space and 6,000 square feet for a repair shop. Built of pre-engineered and fabricated metal with concrete floors and walls, the building will feature executive and staff offices, multiple conference rooms, employee training facilitates, six heavy equipment repair bays, and the shop office. The corporate office component is two floors, while the maintenance shop is single level allowing any EHC equipment to be repaired inside the building.
The new headquarters campus offers numerous benefits for employees, the company and clients. For instance, employees will be able to get the necessary training for their job growth with clients benefiting from a better trained staff. The new location provides better accessibility for the EHC team, the job sites and our clients. It will allow more streamlined communications and coordination within the office and with the field and shop staff. Plus, EHC will have the organizational structure and the room to undertake future opportunities for expanding its scope of products and services when opportunities arise. In fact, the new campus is nearly six times the size of the current campus with close to twice the office space and five times the size of the shop.
EHC reported over 40% volume growth in 2018 with the market continuing to experience steady growth in multi-family residential, infrastructure and commercial. Throughout 2018 and into 2019, the site construction company has begun numerous new projects while progressing with many ongoing, large-scale projects.
