EHC worked with Kauffman Lynn for Collier County on the Heritage Bay Government Center located in North Naples. The project focused on the development and construction of an over 20,000 square-foot Collier County Government Services Center (GSC), which included a new county tax collector’s office as well as offices for the property appraiser, supervisor of elections and select services of the clerk of courts. EHC provided a wide range of services, such as clearing, grubbing, excavation, import fill, subgrade, asphalt, signage and striping, sidewalks, gutters, curbing, grading, handicap ramps, and more for the full-service government center.

Florida Panther Refuge

EHC worked with existing customer Preferred Materials to provide clearing, grubbing, roadway excavation, and stabilization for the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge project. The Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge is part of the United States National Wildlife Refuge System, located in southwestern Florida, twenty miles east of Naples, in the upper segment of the Fakahatchee Strand of the Big Cypress Swamp. Conserving nearly 27,000 acres, this National Wildlife Refuge was established for the primary purpose of protecting the Florida Panther and its habitat.

Clam Bayou Ecosystem Restoration & Storm Water Treatment Project

As the winner of the Natural Resource/Environment Award by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, the Clam Bayou project was a collaborative effort between the SWIM Program of the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and the Cities of St. Petersburg and Gulfport. EHC was the prime contractor for the $5.4 million SWFWMD project distributed among seven sites (44.14 acres). The project restored 24.14 acres of estuarine, freshwater, and upland habitats and removed over 600,000 tons of earth to provide 20 acres of stormwater treatment ponds that treat runoff from a 2,558 acre urbanized watershed.

The $1 million plus New College of Florida academic building project encompassed many different variables and with EHC’s help was granted LEED Gold certification. In the middle of an active campus, the EHC team worked on a tight site area performing our earthwork and infrastructure services. The complicated project called for underground storm water storage, rainwater collection tanks, hardscape, and an elaborate paver pattern for Ajax Building Corporation.

The $1.55 million project included clearing, lake excavation, curbing, parking lots, roads, sports fields and more. Our background in the development of educational facilities and the successful completion of high schools in the area has led to many more school projects.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Charlie, our client Ajax Building Corporation engaged EHC to provide earthwork and infrastructure services to help rebuild the Charlotte High School football field and track. With a contract of $850,000, EHC completed excavation, grading, water and sewer, underground utility relocation and other services.

South West Interagency Facility for Transportation (SWIFT) SunGuide Center

The $2 million District 1 RTMC project named the SWIFT SunGuide Center is located on I-75 at Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers, Florida. The Haskell Company engaged EHC to provide the earthwork and infrastructure for the building which contains approximately 49,800 square feet and houses the FDOT, Florida Highway Patrol and Motor Carrier Compliance Office. This RTMC is operational 24/7/365 to monitor traffic and report incidents.
North Charlotte Regional ParkGovernment

North Charlotte Regional Park

Charlotte County Parks & Recreation awarded EHC with a $2.3 million contract to provide earthwork and infrastructure services for Phase 2 of the North Charlotte Regional Park. EHC performed all work associated with the construction of a little league baseball field, girls softball field, soccer field, sports lighting, concession building, veterans walk, parking, roadway, pond excavation, stormwater management system and associate infrastructure for the project that Johnson Engineering designed.
