Ronto Group and EHC Begin Development of Naples Square
EHC, Inc., a construction company that provides pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services, is pleased to announce site work is now underway at Ronto Group’s Naples Square. The new community is located at the corner of 5th Avenue South and Goodlette-Frank Road and will change the way people live in downtown Naples.
Naples Square’s walk-able lifestyle will bring a sense of cohesion to downtown by connecting 5th Avenue to Bayfront with access on 10th Street via 3rd Avenue South. The community’s residents will have downtown’s dining, entertainment, and shopping attractions at their fingertips and be within easy walking distance of downtown’s beaches.
The Ronto Group engaged EHC for Phase I of its latest community, Naples Square. EHC is providing the site demolition, clearing, earthwork, grading, underground storm, sewer, water, brick paver roadways, underground stormwater retention, site concrete and curbing, temporary parking, and offsite improvements for the nearly 7.5 acres included in Phase I.
Ronto marked the major downtown milestone with a Groundbreaking Open House celebration at the Naples Square Sales Gallery located at 100 South Goodlette-Frank Road in downtown Naples. Attendees enjoyed champagne, lite fare, and musical entertainment.
The development of Naples Square has officially begun, including the installation of underground utilities, roads, fountains, landscaping and signage. Vertical construction of the first building that will include 73 residences will begin later this summer after approval of Ronto’s building permit application by the City of Naples. Completion of Phase I is slated for the fall of 2015.
With its walk-able lifestyle and seven spacious, light-filled, one and two-story floor plans ranging from over 1,200 to just under 3,000 square feet priced from the $500’s, Naples Square has quickly become downtown’s most dynamic address and most popular residential choice. Each residence comes with an exceptional level of premium quality, designer-specified finishes.
A landscape design by Christian Andrea of Architectural Land Design, Inc. will bring a park-like feeling to Naples Square. The streetscapes will be lined with palms interspersed with flower beds, strips of green, and landscaped areas separating the sidewalks and buildings.
An eclectic mixture of Bermuda, British West Indies, and Coastal Contemporary architectural styles created by Matthew Kragh, AIA, owner of MHK Architecture & Planning, will bring a timeless flavor to Naples Square. Naples Square’s u-shaped residential buildings will be situated with their open ends facing one another. Juxtaposing the buildings allowed Kragh to create the courtyards over each building’s parking level and to design residences with long-range, courtyard views.
Residents at Naples Square will also enjoy the convenience of a separate commercial component that will front Goodlette-Frank Road just to the east of the community’s residential buildings. The separation, along with the internal focus of MHK’s design, will contribute to Naples Square’s sense of place, and establish a tranquil feeling that belies the community’s downtown location. A dedicated public access easement in the form of a linear park will line the extreme eastern edge of the Naples Square site. The linear park will contribute to Naples Square’s grand sense of entry and reinforce the community’s lifestyle that is focused on walkability and the freedom to enjoy bicycling even while living in the heart of downtown Naples.
Three Phase I models will showcase Naples Square’s Chelsea, Denison, and Essex floor plans. The models are available for purchase under a developer lease-back program.
